Blokker is a Dutch retail chain that specializes in household goods, including kitchenware, home decor, small appliances, and other everyday items for the home.
The current method of orderpicking in the 100.000m2 warehouse in Geldermalsen (NL) is Voice Picking. Blokker sees that Vision Picking adds a visual layer of guidance to the picker and increases productivity with 6%. The Dutch company did a pilot in 2023 testing the performance of the smart glasses in comparison to the voice picking headset and is now aiming for full implementation in 2024.
By creating a workflow which has both visual interface and voice control, Blokker improves the performance in the warehouse drastically resulting in a quick ROI.
