Werkse! and TNO research user-friendliness and onboarding benefits Vision Picking
Werkse! is a social workplace guiding individuals with disabilities to a suiting job where they can develop themselves.
Like so many industries, the logistics sector is struggling with personnel shortages. It is possible that some of these shortages could be reduced by employing more people with disabilities, for example in the warehouse. However, warehouse work, such as order picking, can quickly become too complex for people with disabilities. TNO investigated the benefits of using smart glasses in the warehouse together with Werkse! and Augmex.
TNO and Werkse! concluded that the smart glasses are a huge help for the people by providing a step-by-step visual guidance throughout the entire process and giving feedback in realtime, assuring the pickers they are doing the right job.
